population problem

hello neighbors,
when my Belmocktar account was restored , my population was around 1760 out of 980. After upgrading TOWN HALL level 8 ,im at 1060.Even with this i still cant add new buildings completed,such as TURF HOUSE, ART SUPPLIES STORE,TEA HOUSE.
IS there any special things ( i.e monuments) i can do to increase the population size?apart from destroying some building...which i did already

The changes to the way the population works have been discussed in these forums for a while.

No one can build past the upper limit now.

Welcome to my world. This is what GI wants. Forces you to destroy existing buildings to build new ones. Keeps the need for coins and cash, and keeps you constantly having to reaccomplish the same things. Always wondered why there isn't any way to store a building in the warehouse like other games. Now you know.

Current population is 1332/1955. I have enough count to expand; 623 free, but I only have one free 2x2 square on the city side. Still have room left on the airport side, but don't really need extra physical space there.

IOS users had an update yesterday which included a new grand hotel. Cost is 300 silver coins and raises the population by 300. Takes 6 days to build and generates 520 coins every 3 days and size is 3x3. Hopefully Android users get this as well if you haven't already.

Yes, I can see that being a problem also. I am no where near the maximum limit so can't see if maybe this was part of the update. Nothing is mentioned in their "What's New" though.

That's huge ... but 300 silver hard to get easily

I've only like 120 but sure if we get this update and i reached the 300 silver mark i'm going to get it

Wow, that´s a huge benefit and if you are playing for a while the 300 silvers is not critical amount as it is harder to earn gold ones than the silver ones. I would like to see it too on android platform Very Happy

Does someone has an overview with the amount of silver coins you receive for the different places in the different launches? Can't find any updated information about this.
If this Grand Hotel will appear in the Android game I want to be ready to build it but I still need some silver coins, about 60, So I like to know the fastest and easiest ways to receive them the upcoming weeks.

Finally, a use for the useless silver coins.....
I guess space launches is the way to go, cause I definitely don't play enough to be in the top 10 for destinations each week.
Not sure if the Skill Chests (apprentice, master etc) for space launches drop silver coins, but if they did it would be an added bonus

The Grand Hotel.

I have got 960 silver coins for launching my Blue Rocket, (each launch 10 coins) so I can miss it.

You need 300 silver coins-20 eletricity- and 3x3 space to get it start build up.
It takes 6 days to build, but you can speed it up for 4 greens.

You will recive 520 coins every 3 days, and will go up in population by 300 Very Happy  Very Happy .

Hopefully you don't need anything special to finish the building.

Finally a reason to start playing again. Hopefully my neighbours think the same cause most of my 100+ neighbours stopped playing in the last couple of months.

I'm glad i never demolished half my city after they "fixed" the glitch.

GI planned this very well.

I guess you can buy land expansion after level 50 in a couple of months.

after updating to current version, same issue with overpopulation. 1700/700
